Students reflect on the theme "I Matter Because" and express themselves creatively through visual art, dance choreography, film production, music … The National PTA Reflections Program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts in an educational way. Through the program, Wellington PTA and PTAs across the country urge students to reflect on the theme for 2020-21 (I MATTER BECAUSE) and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works based on this year's theme: I MATTER BECAUSE The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. Each year a new theme is introduced and this year the theme is “I Matter Because”.
