of Social Work is one of the largest Academies in Sweden offering Social Work Education on Bachelor and Master level. The BSc programme in Social Work covers a broad range of topics preparing the students for future careers in different fields of social work, such as in the social services, the health care and education system, rehabilitation, correctional services It is part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. The students of the department are primary following three (3) programmes: Bachelor of Science in social work, Master of science in social work and doctoral, Ph.D. studies. In addition the Department of Social Work offers independent courses on various topics. Bachelor of Social Work or BSW is a professional degree that is offered at the undergraduate (UG) level. The duration of a BSW course is usually three years and candidates need to positively complete the course within a maximum duration of six years.

GENERALIST SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) defines its concept of generalist social work practice using a framework that integrates proficiency in the knowledge, ethics, values and skills of the social work profession as defined by CSWE.
